Concrete can be so much more than simple broom finished slabs. One of the fairly common things we see are driveways with a center section and/or sections along the edges that are colored or poured with exposed aggregate. This gives a classy look to what would otherwise be a plain driveway.

Problems are more common with these inlays however. If these narrow sections are not tied to the larger sections with the use of rebar, settling can occur when vehicle traffic passes over them. This occurs due to the much smaller footprint carrying the weight of the vehicle traffic.

These narrow slabs present a challenge to concrete leveling companies for two reasons; first they often bind on adjoining slabs necessitating saw cutting the slabs, and second, it is difficult to contain the lifting material to just that slab.

Various techniques are used to overcome these two challenges such as the use of pry bars or jacks, and why experience plays a vital role in a successful concrete repair business otherwise all kinds of issues can present themselves such as lifting the wrong slab!

If you notice your decorative drive has problems call the concrete repair professionals today, we can help.
