Many Slabjack contractors use a light duty two-pound foam, compared to our D.O.T. approved polymer it is only 60% as strong and not hydro-insensitive, this means it will not be as capable of carrying the heavy loads such as thicker slabs, porches and stairs. In addition we specify our polymer be hydrophobic, capable of full reaction in totally saturated soils, even in situations where we are injecting into water such as behind a sea wall or a leaking pool or municipal manhole.
