Concrete is however not immune from damage, as the natural process called slab settlement will affect it. Slab settlement refers to the gradual movement concrete will experience as a result of changing soil compositions. The natural settlement process typically takes a very long time to show visual signs. However, early settlement does take place as a result of improper installation or a failure to inspect soil conditions. Sinking concrete, unlevel surface, cracks, and voids are all effects of settling, and if not immediately repaired, the damage will only worsen over time.

Luckily, the effects of settlement have a fast-acting solution in the form of foam polymers. In a process known as concrete foam jacking, we inject the polyurethane solution directly into tiny holes drilled into the concrete slab. The foam spreads evenly in a multi-foot radius around the injection point, filling up the space that the soil once occupied. As the space fills, the slab will lift up and level into its original position and will be safe to walk on after an hour. Once level, we can easily repair the injection site and any cracks until your surface looks as good as new.
