Occasionally we arrive to do an estimate and the concrete is just too broken up for raising.  The same condition applies to “parquet” style concrete slabs where 4’x4′ or so sized slabs are poured in order to create a decorative look.

The problem with both the severely cracked slabs and the “parquet” slabs is they are very difficult to control as they are lifted. The polymer we use will flow to the lowest spot under the slab and generate lift even if lift is not desirable in that area. As a result, getting the “puzzle” back together and level becomes nearly impossible. We can get six into position but if one fails to align with the rest it looks poor. As a result we will generally not bid jobs with slabs broken up into smaller sections than five feet square and if settling is severe we will often recommend replacement.

You can count on the experts at 1-855-752-2522 to honestly evaluate your concrete and if replacement makes better sense, that is what we will recommend.
