Part of our Total Concrete Protection System is applying a penetrating concrete sealer to waterproof your concrete.

Why a penetrating sealer? Top coat sealers do not last very long, typically only a year or two then reapplication is necessary. Penetrating sealers bond with the concrete and only fail as the concrete itself wears away. As a result these type of sealers often last over ten years!

Penetrating sealers do not affect the appearance of the concrete unlike many that darken it up or put a sheen on the surface. If you are looking for a high-gloss finish then penetrating sealer’s are not what you are looking for.

Slabjack Geotechnical has sealers with high gloss if that is your desire. High-gloss sealer’s look fantastic on colored concrete and also on exposed aggregate but remember if you choose to go with a high-gloss sealer you are committing yourself to reapplication every two years or so. Another disadvantage to the high-gloss sealer’s is that they make the concrete slick.
